Institute of Foreign Languages

INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The mission of the Institute is to make students aware of the importance of acquiring a fluent command of a second or third language which is an essential competency in today’s globalized business world.

Our key objective is to prepare students to meet the general and specific language exit requirements by graduation, to enable them to complete specialized classes in a foreign language and to successfully apply for Erasmus exchange programs and various scholarships at foreign higher education institutions.

We believe that by acquiring a real and effective language competency, which satisfies most professional needs, graduates gain a competitive edge that makes them a real asset for their future company right upon entering the labor market.

To achieve that goal, the Institute offers three types of elective courses:

1.    General language courses in seven different languages (English, French, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Spanish) in three consecutive terms;
2.    ESP courses (English for Specific Purposes) that prepare students for four different B2 or C1 level international and/or state-accredited language exams for specific purposes;
3.    A wide selection of mandatory, alternative or elective classes transferring specific professional knowledge in a second language (CLIL courses).

In addition to the above mentioned courses, we also launch Hungarian language classes for foreign students.
